Terms of Service

The rules for using BusGrid.

Draft, last updated 9 August 2026

About these terms

These terms are an agreement between BusGrid ("we", "us", the platform) and the bus operator that signs up for the service ("you", the operator). By creating an account or using the platform you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What BusGrid provides

BusGrid is software for Indian bus operators, with optional bundled hardware. It covers reservations, a branded booking website, distribution, counter and agent sales, fleet and crew operations, accounting, GPS tracking and cameras. We provide the platform. You run your bus service.

Your account

You are responsible for your account, your staff logins, and everything done under them. Keep credentials secure and tell us promptly if you suspect misuse. Each operator sees only its own data.

Your responsibilities as an operator

  • Publish accurate trips, fares, stops, and timings.
  • Follow the transport, tax, and consumer laws that apply to your service.
  • Set and honour your own passenger cancellation and refund rules.
  • Provide correct settlement and tax details for payouts.

Passengers and bookings

Passengers book seats on trips you publish. The contract of carriage is between you and the passenger, and you are the seller of the ticket. BusGrid records the booking, issues the electronic ticket, and helps you collect payment.

Payments and settlement

Online payments are processed through a licensed payment gateway, such as Razorpay. Funds for ticket sales settle to your account under the gateway's split settlement, after applicable gateway and platform fees. You are the merchant of record for ticket sales to passengers.

Fees

Platform fees are published and flat, with no setup fee. Your plan and pricing model are confirmed at onboarding. We will give you notice before any change to your fees.

Acceptable use

Do not use the platform to break the law, infringe the rights of others, send unlawful messages, or attempt to breach security or reach another operator's data. We may suspend accounts that do.

Service availability

We work to keep the platform available and schedule maintenance where we can. We do not promise uninterrupted service and are not liable for delays outside our reasonable control.

Hardware

Where you buy GPS trackers or cameras from us, the supply, installation, and warranty terms are set out in your hardware order. Those terms are separate from these software terms.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service and close your account. We may suspend or end access for non-payment or serious breach. On termination you can export your data as described in our Data Policy.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the platform fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and, for material changes, tell you in advance. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at [Jurisdiction city: to be filled] have jurisdiction, subject to any right you have under law.
